Grifter's Guide To Musician-Approved Road Food

Now THIS is the blog musicians have been waiting for: the best cuisine for those cruising the highways and byways. Those of you on a musical mission will appreciate Paul’s dedication to locating the best food to be found here and abroad (so nice to have alternatives besides McD’s and Waffle House) … as will any traveler.

By the way, not only do I highly recommend Paul’s blog, but I’ve seen and heard his remarkable drumming on more than one occasion (think a left-handed Jim Keltner) with our old road-mates Stephen Simmons and Stacie Collins. He’s the man. From his blog:

My name is Paul Griffith. I’m a drummer, writer and amateur bassist working out of Nashville, TN. My music clients include John Prine, Todd Snider, Will Kimbrough, k.d. lang and Tony Joe White. I write for The Nashville Scene, Chapter 16, Nashville Lifestyles and anyone else who will have me.

Musician Approved Road Food is a labor of love. I travel a lot, and I like to eat well. By and large, the site will focus on cheap eats along the beaten path––the kind travelers need to keep their tanks full and boredom at bay. In a few cases, the entries will be a little pricier and harder to find––after all, even musicians deserve a treat sometimes.
